[There may be something to be said for both their dedication that they're still friends, even now. At first, she wasn't sure quite how they'd manage it, but... she'd been more than willing to try. He was too important to her for her not to. Still, it stung, remembering how she'd failed him, and unfortunately that did tend to happen when they were around each other. That said, she's always happy, truly, to see him. She's got that to look forward to at the moment, at least, as she waits.]

[Her hand squeezes back. She looks relieved, at least.]

[She brightens.]

[Don't mind her if she's struck all over again by how happy she is.]

Yeah. I'll do my best. [Sure is a quietly fond look, there.] It shouldn't be too hard.
